ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
As a Senior Accountant you will play a critical role in driving financial excellence across SVPHM. Working closely with the Finance Manager you will deliver accurate highquality insights to senior stakeholders empowering strategic decisions through business analysis budget formulation monthly reporting and finance administration. With your sharp focus on data integrity and attention to detail you will own key accounting processes oversee Assistant Accountants and maintain governance of accounting policies and procedures. Your deep understanding of accounting standards reconciliations and the Private Hospital industry will be essential to support strategic planning and deliver robust annual budgets. You will champion continuous improvement in management information ensuring that data across systems remains accurate reliable and aligned. As a trusted resource for executives senior leaders and department heads you will be pivotal in shaping the future commercial success of the organisation.

ABOUT YOU:
As an outstanding Senior Accountant you are a master and a SME at all things accounting and come with extensice experience that will make you our SUPERSTAR.

Your skills will include:
CA / CPA or relevant post graduate qualification.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Five years experience in a similar role.

  • Experience in managing diverse and complex corporate structures stakeholders and accountants.

  • Previous experience in Healthcare is preferred with an understanding of revenue and cost drivers and private hospital funding

  • Detailed understanding of hospital revenue and cost drivers preferred but not essential

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practice.

  • Committed to continuous improvement of management reports and reporting tools.

  • Ability to support and liaise within the Finance Department and Department Heads.

  • Committed to assist the Financial Accountant with the preparation of endofmonth financial reports and reconciliations and in using workpapers to support these.

  • A willingness to be flexible in order meet objectives and timeframes.

  • Extensive knowledge of the private hospital funding model.

  • Sound understanding and practical experience in accounting including knowledge of accounting standards.

  • A willingness to be flexible in order to meet objectives and timeframes.

  • Advanced computer skills particularly the Microsoft Office suite including Excel Outlook Word and PowerPoint with prior exposure to multiple database management platforms and ERP systems.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to analyse complex financial and performance data draw appropriate inferences and make appropriate judgements on findings.

  • Logical thought processes with excellent analytical skills.

  • Conscientious in conducting onesself in a professional manner and also in maintaining the professional reputation of the Finance Department.
