Software Development Engineer II AWS Compliance Security Assurance

Come join our team in Portland OR in AWS youll help us design and develop solutions that enables AWS to expand our operations into new data centers worldwide. We are building an Integrated Compliance System (ICS) that is used internally by compliance engineers to ensure we are compliant for all infrastructure hardware movements in every country that we operate in. You will collaborate with engineers designing solutions that can critically scale complex compliance decisions in a new platform we created from scratch just a couple of years ago. Key job responsibilities
As an AWS Software Development Engineer (SDE) youll lead the design and build of services and applications with a team of engineers. To succeed in this role you believe in high standards for code quality code reviews testing and operational excellence. You support your peers to deliver results in a space that operates much like a startup with the autonomy to build the right solution from Day One. As a SDE with our team you will collaborate with other engineers on technical direction and strategy with a career opportunity for growth that AWS can offer.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
