Job Description
George Fox University announces a parttime adjunct instructor position in Sociology to begin in spring semester of 2023. The successful candidate will teach 2 courses (listed below).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Teaching SOCI 150 (Principles of Sociology) on Monday Wednesday Friday from 12 to 12:50 pm in the spring 1/9/234/28/23
- Teaching SOCI 220 (Men and Women in Society) on Tuesday Thursday from 12 to 1:15 pm in the spring 1/9/234/28/23
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Sociology or a related field is required.
- Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
- Demonstrates awareness respect and appreciation for diversity of culture background race sex political views expressions of faith etc. and works well with a variety of people.
- All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church. In addition professors agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
- Communicates effectively and courteously with others including employees students and the public in a spirit of teamwork respect and service.
- Candidates must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S. and be a resident of one of the following states: Oregon Washington California Idaho New York Ohio or Texas.
