About the position
DeepSea is looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of Accounts Payable Taxes Financial statements and statutory reporting and support the Payroll and Accounting team in the Finance Department. The Finance Department is responsible for enabling DeepSea to innovate and pursue its goals freely and flexibly by ensuring sustainable access to funds running daytoday operations and shielding from bureaucracy. They ensure that our finances revenues and expenses are automatically accurately and promptly tracked and reported to relevant stakeholders. They ensure that company policies and investor and regulatory requirements on reporting pricing invoicing payments expenses procurement salaries commissions and tax are executed smoothly exactly and promptly. They run daytoday accounting and office operations. Finally they support and where necessary lead and implement fundraising activities (including capital debt and grants).
This positions duties include:
Being the main contributor and supporter of the Accounting team fostering collaboration and ensuring effective contribution to goals.
Preparing accurate Financial Statements to present a transparent view of the companys financial health.
Wide experience in various accounting functions
Support Payroll ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries and benefits.
Managing Expenses implementing efficient tracking systems and optimising cost control measures.
Managing taxrelated functions ensuring compliance with Greek tax laws and managing intercompany transactions.
Executing daytoday accounting operations ensuring compliance with reporting pricing and tax requirements.
Implementing company policies investor requirements and regulatory standards.
Utilising exceptional organizational skills for thorough and autonomous task management.
Degree in Accounting Finance or Economics.
57 years of Experience in a similar role
Holder of Class A License is preferable
Very good knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards and IFRS.
Very good knowledge of Greek laws for taxes income taxes stamp taxes and intercompany transactions.
Excellent communication skills in English Excellent computer skills experience with ERP software and MS Office.
Optional familiarity with managing payroll activities will be considered an asset
Exhibit exceptional organisational skills and thoroughness in both autonomous work and teamwork ensuring precision in financial tasks and compliance with established procedures.
