We have an exciting new opportunity for a Mobile Optometrist based from Boots Opticians Exeter youll also be supporting surrounding practices such as Exmouth Taunton Newton Abbot Honiton Paignton and Torquay.
The role is advertised as fulltime however we understand flexibility is really important therefore we will consider both full time and part time hours.
Our Exeter practice has 5 testing rooms which are equipped with Phoropters and OCT. Were a Centre of Expertise Store which is in a Boots UK store complimented with Hearing Care for our patients.
Our brilliant team is made up of 23 individuals including a Dispensing Optician 1 Contact Lens Optician and 3 Resident Optometrists.
We have an easy bus route and park and ride is also available. Theres a mixture of px demographic from students through to over 60s and we have a great relationship with SpaMedica so benefit from a lot of recommendations.

- Leading clinics and providing specialist care and advice to all patients
- Testing eyes using the latest technology whilst maintaining outstanding patient care.
- Delivering enhanced services dependant on the store needs
- Responding to emergency triages
- Working with external healthcare professionals
- Providing clinical support to team members on the shop floor
- Providing advice to patients using your clinical knowledge
- Keeping up to date with latest clinical practices.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders
What youll need to have
The essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role:
- GOC registered (or expecting to be in the next 6 months)
- Additional registration with the relevant NHS body
- Drive to deliver excellent patient care.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- The motivation to See Whats Possible for our teams customers and patients.
