Job Description

TriSMART Solar is one of Texass leading residential and commercial solar companies providing smart sustainable energy solutions to thousands of homeowners and businesses. As we continue our growth journey we are expanding our focus beyond solar into storage roofing and backup generators.

We are seeking a dynamic growthoriented Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to lead scale and elevate our direct virtual and dealer sales channels while also empowering our existing sales leadership team to reach new levels of success.

Position Overview:

The Chief Sales Officer will be responsible for leading and expanding TriSMARTs doortodoor virtual sales and dealer network initiatives. This role demands an exceptional leader who can recruit train mentor and scale both people and systems across multiple sales verticals. Creating and executing sales forecasts by market by channel is the underlying accountability for this role.

Additionally this role emphasizes working collaboratively with our current sales leadership helping them grow personally and professionally removing barriers to their success and expanding their individual and team impact across the organization.

Preference given to candidates based in or willing to relocate to Houston TX.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership &

  • Lead and scale all doortodoor virtual and dealer channel sales operations for solar roofing and backup generators.

  • Build highperforming teams across markets while ensuring cultural alignment with TriSMARTs values.

  • Design and implement strategies to drive aggressive revenue profitability and customer acquisition targets.

  • Maintain strong visible leadership presence with sales teams through field visits calls and leadership development sessions.

Empowering Current Sales Leaders

  • Work handinhand with TriSMARTs existing Regional Managers Vice Presidents and frontline sales leaders.

  • Identify growth opportunities for individual leaders and implement coaching and support systems to maximize their impact.

  • Create a culture of collaboration accountability and empowerment throughout the sales organization.

  • Remove obstacles streamline communication and provide the tools and resources leaders need to thrive.

Recruiting Training and Team Development

  • Design and oversee programs to recruit onboard and train sales representatives and dealer partners.

  • Build scalable training platforms for new hires experienced reps and sales leadership development.

  • Instill a culture of learning resilience and elite performance.

Dealer Network Growth

  • Build and expand TriSMARTs Dealer Program by recruiting and enabling a network of highquality partners.

  • Launch onboarding sales enablement and support initiatives to ensure dealer partner success.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key dealer accounts and drive dealer channel sales performance.

New Business Vertical Expansion

  • Launch and scale new sales verticals including roofing and backup generator divisions.

  • Equip teams and dealers to successfully crosssell multiple home improvement solutions.

  • Identify bundling opportunities to maximize customer value and company revenue.

Sales Operations Performance and Analytics

  • Develop and manage KPIs dashboards sales forecasting models and performance reports.

  • Optimize CRM and sales tech stack utilization to improve team effectiveness.

  • Regularly assess team performance and adjust strategies to maintain momentum and growth.

Culture Building and Representation

  • Be a champion of TriSMARTs values: Integrity Connection Teamwork and Respect.

  • Represent TriSMART Solar at conferences trade shows dealer events and industry forums.

  • Foster a winning purposedriven culture that attracts and retains top talent.

Qualifications:

  • 7 years of executive sales leadership experience in direct sales channel sales or dealer sales.

  • 5 years of leading doortodoor inside/virtual and dealer network teams.

  • 3 years of generating 150MM or more in annual solar sales revenue (approximately 4000 annual solar installations)

  • Solar roofing generator or home improvement sector experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success recruiting developing and scaling sales teams and dealer networks.

  • Deep understanding of doortodoor sales processes and virtual sales enablement.

  • Proven experience supporting mentoring and developing current sales leadership teams.

  • Strong financial analytical technological and operational acumen.

  • Demonstrated success in incorporating A.I into the recruiting training and selling process.

  • Willing and able to travel approximately 50 of the time.

  • Houstonarea residency preferred or willingness to relocate.
