Job Description
The Opportunity
An exciting 15week opportunity has arisen due to a team member taking some welldeserved long service leave. Ideally the successful candidate would be in role from 16 June to 28 September.
The Team
Diverse goal oriented and collaborative team who are passionate for sports including Cricket & AFL. We have a strong focus on operational excellence working alongside our global counterparts.
The Role
We require a team player with an indepth knowledge of AFL and Cricket with a focus on playerbased markets. Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will be required to work both evenings and weekends on a regular basis. Duties include:
- Operate sporting models to trade live games
- support the more experienced traders in the daytoday operation of the team
- ensuring our betting markets are created displayed and then resulted in a timely fashion leading to a best in class customer experience.
- Collaboration with the risk team to manage liabilities and manage prematch and inplay risk
- compiling odds on lower tier matches or competitions
You
- Attentiontodetail of the very highest order
- An indepth knowledge of AFL and to a lesser extent Cricket.
- The ability to keep a very high level of concentration
- Multitasking and calmness under pressure working to tight deadlines
- Good measure of selfawareness and exceptional people skills.
- A strong ability to collaborate both internally and across the Paddy Power Betfair Group
- An understanding of betting & statistics.
- Knowledge of minor Domestic Sports a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the use of the Office suite most notably Excel & Outlook is essential
- Undergraduate degree in statistics mathematics or business related field is desirable
