Clinical Lab Assistant/Full Time Nights

Work location:Texas Health Arlington Memorial 800 W. Randol Mill Rd. Arlington TX 76012

Work environment:Lab

Work hours:Full Time Nights Monday through Thursday

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital has a rich history in North Texas serving the local communities of Arlington Kennedale Pantego Mansfield and Grand 369bed acutecare fullservice hospital serving our community since 1958. Our location in central Arlington provides convenient caretopeople in the DFW Metroplex and surrounding areas.

We specialize in comprehensive medical/surgical care cancer care womens services behavioral healthneurosciences and emergency medicine. Plus were a Level III neonatal intensive care unit Level III Maternal Newborn care unit and a Level III Trauma Center. Were accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center and by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.

Texas Health Arlington Memorial is a Joint Commissioncertified Primary Stroke Center a Chest PainCenter and a Heart Failure Center. Weve been recognized by the American Heart Association with a Gold Plus award for the exceptional care we provide to our stroke heart failure and chest pain patients. Were also a designated Magnet hospital! Our community members recently recognized us as the best emergency department in Arlington. Plus were recognized by Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a Blue Distinction Center for care of our patients receiving Hip and Knee Replacement and Spine Surgery procedures. Were a top choice in North Texas for cancer and emergency services womens health and much more.

What Youll Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.(Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required. CLIAFE)
  • Six 6 months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy is highly preferred.
  • PBT(ASCP) Phlebotomy Technician is preferred upon hire.

What Youll Do

  • For those entities performing phlebotomy employee follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient
  • Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
  • Reports and evaluates test results
  • Helps other hospital and laboratory coworkers to provide timely patient care
