Job Description

Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The Childrens Cardiology Clinic LLC (CCC) a division of Florida Pediatric Associates LLC (FPA) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
This LPN will have the opportunity to work closely with one of Orlandos Top Doctors a respected Pediatric/Congenital Heart Physician Dr. Bhavya Trivedi. CCC.
As a LPN you will have a unique opportunity to help with the new CCC private practice to formulate patient flow protocols and practices. He or she will be integral in the establishment of the practice standards and reputation. We are looking for a highly energetic dedicated and professional LPN to be part of our team and provide high quality patient care by working closely with the supervising pediatric cardiologist.
Qualifications
Education and Training
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Current State of Florida unencumbered LPN Licensure
  3. OSHA for Medical Providers HIPAA Compliance CPR training required
  4. Current BLS (medical providers) ACLS and/or PALS may be required
Experience
  1. One or more years of MA or LPN experience.
  2. Pediatric or pediatric cardiology experience.
  3. Familiarity with EMR systems data entry.
  4. Familiarity/experience in cardiology or pediatric clinic practices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Specific
  1. Obtain vital signs pulse oximetry ECG and place cardiac monitors.
  2. Assist the physician with patient exams and/or treatment.
  3. Gather and organize accurate documentation and prior medical records for provider review.
  4. Chart and clerical work as necessary to oversee phone prescriptions and refills to pharmacies.
  5. Triage patient phone calls to identify emergent and nonemergent situations.
  6. Ensure patient flow is timely and accurate throughout the clinic.
  7. Address/resolve all voicemail calls before leaving the clinic at the end of each day.
  8. Assist with disinfecting exam rooms between patients using OSHA protocols.
  9. Provide educational tools to patients to help in treatment decision making.
  10. Document patient visits into EMR.
  11. Respond to medical emergencies and solicit immediately with assistance from Senior Clinical team (MD ARNP/PA RN)

  11. Assist with ordering and maintaining medical supplies for CCC.

Work Environment
  1. While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in a medical office/ surgery center.
  2. Work may expose the employee to blood borne pathogens and other exposures of patient care/medical practice. Masks and PPE provided as required.
Physical Demand Requirements
While performing the duties of this job the employee is or may be required to:
  1. Frequently use hands fingers and arms to operate medical equipment to care for patients.
  2. Frequently moves around the office to engage in clinical and administrative activities.
  3. Frequently move about the office to access file cabinets office machinery etc.
  4. Frequently must reach bend stoop and handle objects with hands and/or fingers.
  5. Frequently must communicate by phone with healthcare providers patients families coworkers and others.
  6. Frequently uses close and distance vision to care for patients.
  7. Frequently uses EMR phone email and fax.
  8. May lift items weighing up to 10 pounds.
  9. May climb and descend one flight of stairs.
