Job Description

Summary

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate maintenance daytoday and plant condition specific activities. Prioritize and assign resources to complete scheduled tasks.
  • Create job plans determine labor materials equipment and contractor needs. Order job materials from the warehouse and initiate requisitions for nonstock material. Schedule contractors when needed to augment plant staff.
  • Coordinate with Engineering Drafting Operations MOC Coordinator and others as needed to define detailed plans for each MOC job.
  • Maintain an orderly and systematic job plan library.
  • Interact with shops performing work on CHS equipment for control of quality cost and timing.
  • Assist as needed with repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Respond to plant emergency maintenance that may arise.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with applicable government regulations and company policy.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4 years of experience in Production Operations and/or Maintenance

Additional Qualifications

  • Previous refinery experience with a thorough knowledge of refinery/plant/facility operations and maintenance procedures
  • Technical and/or practical knowledge of pressure vessels exchangers and/or electrical/instrumentation and/or rotating equipment and techniques to repair the mentioned equipment
  • Ability to motivate wagehourly and first line supervisors is also required
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment including respirators
  • Preemployment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required selected candidates must pass preemployment screenings to include all or a combination of drug criminal motor vehicle check physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.

Physical Requirements

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and depending upon position may include other earnings such as bonus incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include without limitation experience education training specialized skills and certifications minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
