Job Description
Overview
The Java Tech Lead plays a critical role in guiding the development team and ensuring the successful delivery of highquality software solutions. This position serves as a bridge between management and the development team facilitating communication and collaboration. The Tech Lead not only oversees technical aspects of the project but also mentors junior developers ensuring that best practices are followed and the team is continuously improving. The ideal candidate is an expert in Java programming has extensive experience in software development methodologies and demonstrates strong leadership skills. By fostering a culture of innovation and delivering robust scalable systems the Java Tech Lead contributes significantly to the organization s mission and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design development and implementation of Javabased applications.
- Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to gather and define project requirements.
- Mentor and guide software developers in coding standards and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with application development.
- Participate in architectural discussions and design sessions.
- Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Integrate thirdparty APIs and services into existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and performance issues.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
- Manage technical documentation and project specifications.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of technology platforms.
- Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with product owners to prioritize feature enhancements and bug fixes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 7 years of experience in Java application development.
- Proven experience in a leadership or tech lead role.
- Strong experience with Spring Framework Hibernate and other Java technologies.
- Experience in building and deploying microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience with skills like Springboot MicroservicesJPA.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies e.g. Docker Kubernetes.
- Understanding of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL.
- Prior experience in mentoring or leading a development team.
- Passion for learning new technologies and keeping up with industry trends.
- Should be good in clientfacing Strong in coding.
