Job Description

Our client is currently seeking an AV Sales Engineer. They are looking for a driven and organized professional who is selfdirected goaloriented and excels at leading conversations while building strong client relationships. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for technical sales and the negotiation of contracts for the sale installation and integration of audiovisual and related control equipment.
Essential Functions
- Initiate sales efforts to identify and convert new customers maintain and generate contact with current customers respond to inquiries and/or leads and renew relationships with previous customers to generate business.
- Work with customers and/or technical staff to define system requirements budgetary constraints scope of work and review specifications plans drawings and installation requirements.
- Research pricing and availability of products and systems.
- Conduct demonstrations of equipment explaining and operating features suited to customer requirements.
- Prepare and enter formal customer quotes proposals and/or service contracts including costs for equipment materials labor and travel estimates.
- Work with the manager on quote approvals and scheduling of installation and associated labor.
- Coordinate all elements of installation details and logistics working with internal teams on purchase orders receipt of equipment and ensuring all items have been received before work commences.
- Visit sites during installation to ensure contractual requirements are met and resolve any potential issues.
- Follow up with clients to determine their level of satisfaction.
- Participate in site visits bid meetings proposal presentations work site visits and departmental meetings as required.
- Maintain current awareness and continued training on all new and existing audiovisual and control equipment capabilities features specifications and installation requirements.

Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years experience in designing and engineering AV lighting and control systems.
- Experience with tech sales and installation procedures along with knowledge of management is required.
- Membership or certification in AV industry programs preferred.
Job Requirements: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with QCS controls, Biamp, Audio DSP, Shure and Intelix. Great to have: AVPro Edge and Visionary Solutions for VoIP / switchers Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with AV equipment Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls are preferred. Advanced working knowledge of computers (Windows-based) and software. Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and embrace a team-centric environment. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents including product specifications, wiring diagrams, and architectural drawings. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive customer inquiries or complaints. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Valid driver s license with minimum 3-year clean driving record. Infocomm CTS certification (within 6 months of employment start) & CTS-I within 12 months Maintain and/or acquire OSHA 10 Hr construction within 3 months from employment start.
