Job Description:
We are seeking a detailoriented and customerfocused Cashier to join our team at Story Lane Box. As a Cashier you will be responsible for processing customer transactions maintaining a clean and organized checkout area and providing excellent customer service. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the pointofsale (POS) system.
Handle cash credit and debit card transactions in accordance with company policies.
Provide excellent customer service addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area including restocking and organizing merchandise as needed.
Assist with opening and closing duties including balancing cash drawers.
Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.
Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and transactions accurately.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
