What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
- Perform all tasks of Night Audit Guest Services Agent including but not limited to; greet check in and settle guest accounts with an engaging and personalized approach while following all department policies procedures and service standards
- Audit daily operations through overnight task list
- Responsible for providing a seamless and exceptional guest arrival and departure experience.
- Adhere to Leading Quality Assurance Standards and Service Essentials for Guest Services Agent to ensure Guest Satisfaction Results
- Act as an Ambassador for Fairmont Waterfront and the City of Vancouver creating memorable experiences for our guests and visitors.
- Provide knowledgeable information regarding hotel facilities and general city information
- Ensure loyalty members and other VIPs receive special attention and recognition
- Perform cashiering duties as required and follow all credit and cash out procedures
- Take ownership of all guest inquiries comments and feedback and follows up in a ambassadorial and efficient manner while adhering to feedback procedures.
- Adhere to standards of conduct dress hygiene uniforms appearance and posture
- Participate in daily briefings
- Participate in department and hotel initiatives
- Adhere to H&S policies and procedures
- Support and participate in Colleagues Engagement Survey action plans and departmental engagement development
- Maintains a presence on the Reception Desk and throughout the lobby with welcoming smile and demeanor.
- Deal with all guests inquiries with efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Proficient in the English language (verbal & written) second language is an asset
- Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense everchanging environment
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Previous customer related experience an asset
- Previous PMS experience an asset
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
- Must be able to type 25 words per minute
- Must possess a professional presentation
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Hospitality Diploma is an asset
- Must be flexible in terms of working hours
- Must have the ability to handle cash effectively and accurately
