Job Description

Job Description: The Junior Financial System Analyst will work closely with their team lead to provide business process and financial system analyst support to the Military Health System. As a key member of Health Affairs Functional Champion the Junior Financial Systems Analyst works locally with an onsite team based in Falls Church VA area to support the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) sustainment new initiatives and other tasks which include data collection and conversion metrics monitoring reporting and business requirements. They must have strong communication skills as they will manage data for up to 200 locations at a time and as such must be proficient in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

This position is immediately available and the start date is set once all onboarding requirements are met including security clearance application or validation. Interviews to begin within one week after announcement. Announcement will close when positions are filled.

Worksite details: Hybrid work in NOVA area.

Fulltime/Parttime: Fulltime

Clearance: Must have an active Secret clearance.

Job Duties:

  • Experience in the financial of appropriated funds including Research Development Testing and Evaluation (RDT&E) Operation and Maintenance (OMA) and Procurement.
  • Review and analysis of commitments obligations and disbursements of financial data for accuracy using GFEBS ERP and GFEBS BI functions.
  • Experience with GFEBS financial .
  • Review analyze and interpret various GFEBS financial documents and reports against established financial metrics.
  • Provide support with research analysis and documentation to support special projects and tasks.
  • Experience with direct and reimbursable orders to ensure they are accepted and executed appropriately.
  • Ability to export organize analyze and consolidate large volumes of financial data to create meaningful reports for leadership.

Qualified Candidates Must Have:

  • Applicant MUST be U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secretlevel clearance.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multitask/manage multiple priorities.
  • Education plus experience at time of application:
    • Bachelors Degree; or
    • Associate Degree and 4 or more years experience; or
    • High School Diploma and 6 or more years experience
Preferred
  • Have a background in Accounting Finance Economics or a related business field.
  • Financial Management experience in a Federal Government office.
  • Have an understanding of Army financial business processes.
  • Experience utilizing various Federal Government or Department of Defense financial systems preferably General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
