You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe King Countys Facilities Management Division (FMD) Building Operations Section (BOS) is looking to hire a career minded journey level Electricianfor our Security Electronics crew. This position will perform the full scope of journeylevel electrician work. A Washington State General Journeyman01 license is required and we are looking for someone with security knowledge and experience.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Perform journey level electrical maintenance and installation tasks as assigned on Security Life Safety Systems and other low voltage related systems.
Coordinate with contractors County Trades and others when necessary.
Assist in the organization and implementation of preventative maintenance program tasks; carry out preventative maintenance plans and schedules for low voltage related work and associated components.
Appropriately and effectively utilize established computerized systems and software to communicate; document work and related issues; schedule and monitor work performance and expenditures; access workrelated information.
Assist in the development of estimates for labor and materials on proposed jobs.
Maintain inhouse Electrical parts/materials inventory levels.
Maintain as built electrical drawing sets for modified / added low voltage systems.
Assess quality and quantity performance measures within the scope of the position take corrective measures as needed to address performance issues. For issues outside the scope of responsibilities report issues to appropriate level in the chain of command.
Other duties as assigned.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO:
Have experience performing the work of a journeylevel security installer / low voltage electrician and be able to work independently or with other electricians or in a composite team with other tradecrafts.
Have the ability to communicate and synthesize complex ideas and concepts effectively in multiple settings with a diverse audience.
Are customer focused in building and maintaining positive relationships with multiple stakeholders and team members.
Have journeylevel knowledge of and skills in the electrical trade.
Have a thorough knowledge of:
Methods practices materials and tools of the electrical trade.
Hazards and safety precautions necessary in the electrical trade.
National Electric Code.
Possess past professional experience in:
Using and caring for the tools machinery and equipment of the electrical trade.
Reading blueprints and schematics.
Troubleshooting methods and techniques.
Installing complete electrical systems.
Reading and interpreting instrumentation.
Repairing troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.
Technical reading and writing skills.
