Job Description
Trevor Day School is seeking candidates for a fulltime Upper School History Teacher for the 202526 academic year. Responsibilities may include teaching 10thGrade United States History and advanced elective courses in Environmental Studies for juniors and seniors. Candidates should have a strong interest in working with a diverse student body and colleagues in an open and collaborative environment. All Trevor teachers serve as advisors and are expected to participate actively in the schools daily life.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred as well as a minimum of three years of experience in teaching history.
Experience using technology to enhance classroom learning.
Familiarity with inquirybased learning and digital scholarship.
Enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues on lesson planning and innovative curriculum development.
Proven ability to form strong relationships with students families and colleagues.
Familiarity with differentiated instruction to accommodate a range of learning styles.
Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion.
Growth mindset and passion for learning.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexibility creativity patience and a sense of humor.
The fulltime salary range for this position is $55000$176000 as per the schools salary scale. When extending an offer for employment Trevor Day School bases the salary upon several factors that include (but are not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education training key skills and peer salary equity. The school also offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
