This is a research study taking place at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and 6 other institutes across the country that aims to understand the biological processes that contribute to healthy longevity and protection from Alzheimers disease. The Albert Einstein College of Medicine site seeks a Casual Research Nurse to be responsible for the management of the centenarian participant program. The participants ages range from 35 years to 120 years of age and are recruited from Synagogues Organizations and Nursing homes
Responsible for recruitment of centenarians for the Longevity Genes Program.
Implement subject intake/enrollment; and complete a mini mental status test
Schedule subjects for studies
Monitor and assess the health status of assigned subjects
Plan implement evaluate and document individualized care based on subject assessment
Handle and draw routine blood sampling
Monitor vital signs of subjects
Ensure implementation of research protocols entered into Einstein/Longevity data base
Contribute to the clinical research records
Ensure clinic research records are available and appropriate for the protocols
Establish and maintain communication with professional and ancillary personnel
Perform other related duties as assigned
Bachelor of Science Degree is required. License to Practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State is required.
