The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a First Line ManagerMaterials Management & Transportation (Level K) in SeaTac WA. This position manages and integrates employees activities across all areas of the our Seattle warehouse activities range across receiving storage picking packing and shipping product to internal and external customers. Selected candidate will be required to execute and balance day to day activities initiate and implement projects identify and initiate process improvements and ensure all employees are adhering to policies and procedures all while meeting the organizations goals and objectives. Position requires the utilization of organizational Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) to ensure all aspects of the business are performing and meeting targets and goals. This position also places a high priority on growing and maintaining relationships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages and integrates represented and nonrepresented employees activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation.
Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.
Manages develops and motivates employees.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Boeing Manufacturing Operation functions (Manufacturing Materials Management Manufacturing Engineering Supply Chain Operations)
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing or leading people or teams preferably leading both salary and hourly personnel
10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
Experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook PowerPoint Excel and Word.
1 year of experience creating and developing strategy plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MRP System Experience with Material Management and inventory control.
Experience in a complex multifunctional manufacturing environment.
Experience leading crossfunctional teams.
Experience with process improvement lean manufacturing 8 step problem solving Boeing Production System.
Understanding of waste elimination and productivity enhancing techniques and processes.
Experience with new product introduction.
Bachelors or 10 years experience in Supply Chain business or related field.
