The Manager Sponsored Projects (PostAward) is responsible for the Institutes postaward grant administration with moderate supervision. The position requires extensive interaction with faculty medical program managers program administrative managers and the Finance department.
*this is a hybrid role
1. Primarily responsible for the Institutes sponsored projects and acts as primary liaison with program area administrators and Principal Investigators (PIs) on all aspects of their grants including postaward issues with moderate supervision and management involvement.
2. Works with the Finance Office to oversee postaward financial grants management including communication with external sponsors regarding
budget reallocations and reporting. Reviews and processes all consortium/contractual agreements and provides Finance with the original executed agreement. Reviews labor distribution and effort commitments.
3. Facilitates in conjunction with the PI the submission of JustinTime information rebudgeting and the interim and final (closeout) report required
for the award.
4. Work with Research Contracts to process collaborationtype agreements withmoderate supervision. This includes Master Services Agreements Consulting Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements.
5. Prepares reviews files and enters grants and subcontracts into the Fibi proposal routing and tracking system and follows up on the status of grant
applications foundation proposals and collaborative agreements.
6. Provides grant management for awarded projects including progress report preparation/submission subcontract monitoring/ sponsor approvals
and closeout documentation.
7. Oversees the preparation of the fiscal year budget for specified program(s). Develops and monitors systems for specific purpose funds for appropriate
expenses and revenues in conjunction with the offices of Finance and Philanthropy. Sets up new accounts and oversees the management of existing
accounts and expense reconciliation.
8. Maintains current knowledge of Institute federal state and agency policies and guidelines for Sponsored Projects administration.
9. Supports the Director Sponsored Research Programs in developing maintaining and updating all related standard operating procedures.
10. Completes projectbased key word driven searches in the PIVOT (or other system) for applicable funding opportunities.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in business or accounting is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum two years of related experience is required.
Experience managing multiple activities/projects including financial aspects required.
Experience in financial forecasting required.
Experience with grant preparation and postaward administration is required.
Experience with clinical trials is required.
