Job Description
FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (FVSU) a state and landgrant institution of the University System of Georgia invites applications for the position of Mobile STEM Lab Driver.
Fort Valley State University the only 1890 landgrant university in Georgia is a comprehensive institution that provides an education to over 2800 students including graduate students. JOB SUMMARY:
The Mobile STEM Lab Driver will be responsible for and assisting the Mobile STEM Lab Manager as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive the Mobile STEM Lab and the Mobile Precision Agriculture Lab (towed by truck) to demonstration/education sites.
- Park the Lab in a secure site and install the awning when needed.
- Assist the Mobile Lab Manager in setting up the equipment connecting the generator(s) moving equipment within the Mobile Lab as needed and other required tasks.
- Other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Valid Class A drivers license and successful driving history check.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to maintain flexibility and openness to changing work priorities and conditions; simultaneously managing multiple tasks/projects.
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours.
- Must be able to work well with people general public vendors community organizations and staff.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
