Description
Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows needs an experienced communitydriven PreK Teacher for children aged 35 in our Early Learning Center located in the Our Place facility 605 S. 21st Street!

You will have the opportunity to focus on children by:
- planning and leading academic and socialemotional activities in a 10:1 class
- and engaging with student families.
Youll get support from a full and engaged admin team including directors that dont hesitate to roll up their sleeves and or to address incidents and behavior with parents.
We will need some qualifications from you including:
- 5.2 on Nevada Registry OR
- Any one of the following:
- Enrolled in TEACH program for an early childhoodrelated degree
- Bachelors Degree in ECE or ECSE
- Bachelors Degree in any field and stateapproved ARL in Early Childhood
- Bachelors Degree in any field and 30 or more ECE college credits
- And 4000 hours of direct experience in Early Childhood

These are some of the additional things you will do as a Teacher with our early learning centers:
- Preparesupplies and materials for lessons and exercises.
- Managestudent portfolios.
- Maintain the safety of our children and staff and ensure an optimal experience for all.
This is what your day could look like as a Teacher with our early learning centers:
- This role is either a part time role from 7:30am to 12:30pm or 8am to 1pmMonday through Friday or full time with additional hours at an alternate rate to be benefits eligible.
Qualifications
We have great directors and a program quality team that can teach you skills on the job but there are some actions and goals that will make you more successful as a Teacher with the Early Learning Centers.
- You know that quality early childcare is necessary for a strong community and are dedicated to early childhood education.
- You want to bring positivity every day to every staff member knowinghow stressful and challengingchild care is.
- You believe that uniqueness should be celebrated and support including all persons regardless of background or beliefs.
- You respect your team and communicate when you are experiencing difficulty meeting responsibilities.
- Experience with MS Wordand Brightwheel are also preferred.
As part of our commitment to child and member safety there are some additional steps that all hires will be asked to complete.
- You will need to provide 3 references. These references should be professional references but references from nonfamily members over the age of 18 who can speak to your character and professionalism can be substituted in the absence of work experience.
- You will also be asked to complete a drug screen (which only includes illegal in the state of Nevada) background check and fingerprint check.
