Job Description
BrightStar Care of Westfield and Summit is immediately hiring a compassionate caregiver (CHHA) to provide care for our female client living in Scotch Plains NJ. The hours of the case are Monday to Friday 5:00 pm to 9:00pm.
The client needs a bed bath help with feeding dressing and grooming. She cannot stand herself and will need transfers but there is a family member there to always assist.

Payrate $19/hour
An active NJ CHHA license is required and at least 6 dmonths of documented experience caring for the elderly.
The following is required for this position:
- Must have an active NJ CHHA license
- Must be fluent in the English language speaking understanding reading and writing English
- Must be trainable to clock in and out using your cell phone
- Must drive valid drivers license & must own a reliable personal vehicle
- Willing to travel to Scotch Plains NJ
- Ability to pass a background check & drug screening
- Must be passionate about helping others and working with the elderly population
- At least 6 months of professional experience caring for the elderly is required

Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care such as bathing dressing ambulation and transfers
- Accompany clients to the grocery store doctor appointments and pharmacy visits
- Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing
Requirements:
- Valid New Jersey CHHA license in good standing
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CPR Certificate or willing to get one
- Negative drug screen and clear background check
- Drivers license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to read write speak and understand English and communicate effectively
- Must be able to stand walk squat bend kneel reach twist push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
