Compounding at Baxter manufacture patient specific medication such as chemotherapy antibiotics and nutrition. The warehouse department are recruiting for a Deputy team leader to join the team and support the Warehouse and Packing Team Leader in our packing and warehouse operations. This is an interesting and varied role with multiple distinct areas of responsibility but most importantly we are searching for a candidate with excellent people skills and the ability to encourage and motivate a team. It is therefore crucial that the individual has a proven record in communicating with colleagues and stakeholders and delivering results to a high level.

As a member of the multifunctional team partnering with other functions and representing Supply Chain the Warehouse and Packing Deputy Team Leader will play a key role in ensuring our products are released in line with targets.

This role is MondayFriday 37.5 hours per week. Standard hours are 09:0017:00 however there is flexibility if you wish to work 08:0016:00/08:30/16:30.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility in overseeing the daily packing operations to ensure all customer orders are packed and dispatched in a compliant and timely manner.
  • Take responsibility in overseeing the daily warehouse operations to ensure all incoming orders are received booked in and picked in a compliant and timely manner.
  • Responsible for leading in resolving issues that might affect safety compliance output business ethics etc. Contribute to CI activities ACE check ins & succession planning.
  • Through a strong presence on the workplace coach and mentor staff to ensure all processes are executed with a sense of urgency in compliance to Baxter internal processes as well as ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with GMP Standard Operating Procedures and other regulatory agency requirements
  • Organise sufficient cover of operators for the packing and warehouse teams in line with the order volumes. Provide cover for operators during periods of sickness/annual leave.
  • Represent the Warehouse and Packing Team Leader during sickness/annual leave to oversee the packing and warehouse teams.
  • To ensure all quality records and log books are completed in all areas of work as and when required as defined in the relevant SOPs.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse and Packing Team Leader on projects or any relevant tasks
  • Communicate information to all stakeholders in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Previous leading a team or supervisory experience is essential for this role.
  • Previous packing and/or warehouse experience
  • Experience in using an inventory software desired
  • Strong communication and people skills with the ability to work effectively with people across many different functions.
  • Team player with ability to work under instruction and on own initiative and to follow instructions diligently
  • Ability to work to critical timelines.
