Your Mission:
Every person needs the support of others but we look for very special people to support individuals with disabilities. This is why the role of Residence Manager is so important. In this role youll be joining the ranks of the many compassionate and caring individuals who provide daily support assistance and companionship to those right here in our community.
What Youll Do:
- Oversee daily operations of the assigned residence ensuring quality services and support.
- Supervise train and evaluate direct support staff; maintain work schedules and provide backup as needed.
- Coordinate individual service plans and ensure proper implementation.
- Assist residents with daily needs and provide training to staff.
- May require lifting up to 35 pounds and frequent physical activity.
- Residence Managers may be required to go to different locations depending on the needs of the agency.
- Required to successfully learn and implement preventative strategies as required by OPWDD including but not limited to OPWDD S.C.I.P. Level 1 S.C.I.P.R. Level II or PROMOTE competencies based on the needs of the individuals the employee is supporting (not applicable to In Home Supports Community Hab or Relief)
What You Bring:
- Valid drivers license.
- Associates Degree 3 years experience or Bachelors Degree 1 year experience or 5 years relevant experience (including 1 year in a supervisory role).
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
