Work Location: Grant Walker 4H Educational Center Pollock LA
Position Description: This individual will serve as the lead instructor teaching gardening subject matter in a track format to an audience of up to 2550 youth at a time grades 4th 6th in a camp setting. This person will be responsible for meeting with and mentoring two other assigned camp staff before and after track time each day. The instructor will join other summer staff in providing safe supervision of youth while at camp and will support 4H professionals volunteers and members in conducting meaningful educational experiences to help develop life skills. Works under the direct supervision of the 4H Program Coordinator to implement all policies and procedures of the LSU AgCenter and the Louisiana 4H Youth Development program.
Salary and Benefits: Salary: $3000.00 for the nineweek period.
Date Available: Camp session is May 26July 31 2025. Work hours are Tuesday Wednesday & Thursday each week from 7:30 am until 12:00 pm plus prep and cleanup time. Required training period is May. Camp will not be in session the week of June.
