Hugos Family Marketplace has immediate opportunities for Part Time Dorothys Treats Associates at our DeMers Ave. location.
As a Dorothys Treats Associate youll be an integral part of our team dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and delivering delicious treats to our patrons. Youll contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that customers have a delightful experience while enjoying our fresh cookies popcorn candy and Caribou Coffee beverages. Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.
- Assist customers in selecting treats offering recommendations and providing information about our products.
- Handle customer inquiries address concerns and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
Food Preparation and Presentation:
- Prepare and package cookies popcorn and treats according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure that all treats are presented attractively and maintained in fresh condition throughout the day.
- Brew Caribou Coffee beverages to order ensuring accuracy and quality in every cup.
Sales and Cash Handling:
- Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash credit and electronic payments with care and attention to detail.
- Maintain an organized cash register area including counting cash drawers and reconciling sales at the end of each shift.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:
- Keep the store and serving areas clean sanitized and wellmaintained at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels of treats and ingredients restocking as needed.
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding any customer feedback operational issues or inventory needs.
- Assist in other duties as assigned such as organizing displays participating in promotional events or assisting with special orders.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash handling.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.
- A passion for food and a genuine desire to create positive experiences for customers.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat steam and potentially allergenic ingredients.
- Capable of bending stooping and reaching to perform various tasks.
