Job Description
We are recruiting for a Security Officer to work with local businesses and community at the Newton BIA area in Surrey
Shift times:Saturdays and Sundays
Payrate: $22.25/hr
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the RCMP as a visible community presence to promote safety and security
- Working with local businesses and community members to ensure save environment
- Observe and report any unusual activity
- Taking detailed notes to investigate incidents promptly and accurately
- Establishing positive relationships with transit police business owners and community members
- Engaging with the public and responding to their concerns and inquiries
Your MustHaves:
- You hold a valid BC security license
- Advanced Security Training certification
- You have a minimum of 2 years experience in a security position ideally in a similar environment
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You have proven experience dealing with various members of the public
- You have proven timemanagement and organizational skills
- Be physically able to conduct extensive foot patrols and to spend your shift up on your feet
Nice to haves:
- BC Class 5 Drivers license
