Job Description
Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic
Purpose: As a vehicle maintenance mechanic you will be the onsite mechanic for Kimbels fleet trucks and trailers. This is a safetysensitive position.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems
- Perform basic mechanic duties which include but are not limited to: oil changes rotating and replacing tires replacing batteries and light bulbs trailer repair etc.
- Upload all receipts related to vehicle maintenance and repairs for 140 vehicles
- Set up appointments with dealerships and other mechanics for repairs warranty items and maintenance
- Picking up and dropping off vehicles for repair or warranty work
- Travel to other Kimbel warehouse locations to assist including out of state locations
- Assist in warehouse duties in times when mechanical job is slow
- 1 week training in Fayetteville Arkansas will be required.
Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills for record keeping
- Possess basic mechanic tools
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Experience with welding preferred
- Ability to pull and back a trailer or be willing to learn
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Effective communication with internal employees external vendors and suppliers
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic that you display daily
- Ability to multitask
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to work 6 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
