Preferred Primary Care Physicians (PPCP) has an open position for a fulltime Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our office located in Carnegie PA at: 2375 Greentree Rd 1st Floor Carnegie PA 15106. Fantastic MondayFriday daytime schedule! 2 Years of relevant experience in a Family Medical Practice office is required! Phlebotomy experience is a Must!

General Purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse Position:
This position is responsible for providing triage service to ensure prompt and accurate identification of patients conditions. The role requires critical thinking nursing judgment and following standard guidelines to assure patient care needs are met. Works independently to evaluate complex patient needs to assure patient is provided with the appropriate level of care.
Licensed Practical Nurse Essential Duties and Responsibilities::
Triage all patients according to established protocol.
Utilize knowledge of medications and chronic conditions to provide professional nursing assessments to patients.
Prepare individuals for primary care/physician visits.
Manage refill process for maintenance prescriptions.
Communicate with insurance companies regarding medication and testing.
Interact with home healthcare agencies visiting nurses nursing homes and other relevant providers.
Work within PPCPs Electronic Medical Records (ERM) system.
Demonstrate mandatory and clinical competencies of the position.
Education:
Current Licensure in Licensed Practical Nursing
Experience/On the Job Training:
1 year minimum experience in practical nursing. Other Clinical experience will be assessed and accepted.
