Location: Bellingham WA
Description
A comprehensive Pain Management practice serving Whatcom Skagit and Snohomish Counties in Washington is seeking an additional Advanced Practice Provider. Our clinic is staffed by a balanced team of physicians Physician Assistants (PAs) and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs) to optimize patient care through both medication management and interventional pain procedures. In 2019 we saw approximately 1600 new patients conducted 15000 followup visits and performed over 4000 procedures. We continue to grow steadily and perform procedures inoffice with fluoroscopy and at our surgery center in Bellingham.
We are seeking a wellrounded provider who values a private practice setting within a comprehensive pain clinic. Location
Our clinics are located in Bellingham Burlington and Arlington. The northern Washington area offers a variety of recreational opportunities excellent schools and entertainment. Property ownership is affordable and diverse. This rural/suburban setting combined with easy access to the Olympic Peninsula Seattle and Vancouver Canada makes our area an ideal place for permanent relocation.
Job Duties
- Diagnose develop and implement care plans for patients presenting to the clinic.
- Perform physical examinations and gather and document medical histories.
- Complete appropriate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Make referrals for consultations as needed.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding recommended interventional procedures.
- Respond promptly to patient phone inquiries.
- Communicate with referring and primary care physicians regarding patient care and treatment.
- Order and interpret diagnostic test results.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
Salary
We offer a salary and benefits package that is competitive with or exceeds local clinics and health systems. This is reassessed annually to remain competitive. While benefits are standardized the initial salary package is customized based on experience and work schedule.

- Salary: $120000 to $150000/year based on experience

Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination certification or Nurse Practitioner certification
- Must meet current continuing medical education requirements
Occupational Experience/Personal Attributes
- Ability to interpret a patients selfreport or behavior considering the cognitive physical emotional and chronological effects of pain.
- The treatment approach should be individualized reflecting an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient.
- One to three years of prior experience in a medical office is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with patients providers and other clinic staff.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to document appropriately in an electronic medical record.
- Awareness of the legal implications in patient care and appropriate medical advice.
