Job Description
The Nursing Department invites applications for two threeyear renewable nontenure track nursing faculty generalist positions in the colleges baccalaureate nursing (BSN) program starting August 15 2025. The successful candidate(s) may provide instruction within the classroom clinical laboratory and simulation settings and will be expected to participate in curriculum development and assessment of learning outcomes. Additional responsibilities include advising accreditation activities and committee work as assigned.
Duties:
- Assists nursing leadership in planning implementing evaluating and revising the nursing curriculum ensuring a relevant and cuttingedge curriculum.
- Teach courses as negotiated with nursing leadership.
- Makes recommendations to the team that support and enhance quality learning experiences for nursing students.
- Maintains area of clinical competence.
- Serves on departmental divisional and college committees.
- Engages in relevant community partnerships consistent with support and advance the College and departments mission.
- Additional relevant duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in nursing required.
- Holds a valid unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in Wisconsin or eligible to obtain a Wisconsin license. Licensure in Illinois may be required.
- Experience teaching in a prelicensure nursing program or coursework in nursing education principles and techniques preferred.
- Knowledge of teachinglearning principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Evidence of current clinical expertise.
- Certification (or eligibility for certification) in nursing specialty is desirable.
