Job Description

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Stationary Engineer to work at an automotive manufacturer in Pontiac MI. The position comes with FULLY PAID HEALTHCARE. Qualified Candidates will have experience with boilers chillers wastewater and industrial powerhouses

Stationary Engineer are involved in maintaining troubleshooting and repairing equipment within an industrial facility. The role is critical for ensuring the proper operation of various systems including boilers HVAC and electrical controls while also performing preventive maintenance and responding to emergencies. This position requires a licensed professional with significant technical expertise and the ability to work in a highstress environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment.
  • Install and repair plumbing piping tubing; wire single and threephase motors; run conduit; pull wiring to machinery motors operating parts etc.
  • Install and rebuild pumps and motors; install and rebuild air compressors; heat exchangers; replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps.
  • Install and repair piping valves filters hot water systems and associated controls.
  • Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of buildings and equipment.
  • Install repair and maintain electrical controls switches and motor controls.
  • Monitor operation and maintain refrigeration chilled water and air conditioning equipment; boilers heating ventilating and hot water equipment; pumps valves piping and filters.
  • Record readings as necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment; responsible for reporting any problems or malfunctions.
  • Identify and prioritize major and critical alarms and respond to them by taking the necessary measures as well as documenting these measures.
  • Analyze water samples taken from our equipment and from the utilities.
  • Check and monitor the emergency generators during power outages.

Requirements

  • Possess a stationary engineers license.
  • 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Universal CFC Certificate is required.
  • Proficiency in information systems including email automated building systems and operator control panels.
