The Nutrition Services Department exists to provide quality food service and medical nutrition therapy to more than 1600 clients in a mental health care facility and the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC). With over 100 employees the department strives within available resources to provide adequate nutrition to clients based on medical spiritual ethnic cultural and mental health needs.
The purpose of this position is to ensure the safe compliant and effective completion of food service production in the assigned production area or satellite kitchen. Duties include meal preparation cooking portioning sanitation documentation receiving loading and delivery. As a work leader this position is responsible for assigning tasks monitoring progress and workflow checking the product scheduling work and establishing work standards for Dining Services III staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a work lead and or supervisor
Working in a commercial or institutional setting utilizing raw ingredients following prescribed largescale recipes to create meals or baked goods from scratch.
Working as a cook in a high volume batch production kitchen following prescribed largescale recipes monitoring production schedules and maintaining inventory and supply orders
Experience training personnel
Knowledge of Microsoft programs and Google (calendar email Drive etc.
Excellent customer service skills
