Vast is looking for a CCNC Press Brake and Roller Operator reporting to the Production Manager Primary Structures Fabrication to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificialgravity humanrated space stations.
This will be a fulltime nonexempt position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safe operating the brake press shear fitup and roller operations including high end aerospace aluminum and steels
- Responsible for proper setup and programing of machine and verification of dies prior to forming
- Giving feedback on formability to engineering for design improvement
- Training other technicians on rolling brake press techniques as needed
- Maintains clean working environment and follows instructions
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years in a manufacturing environment
- 2 years operating a CNC Press brake
- 2 years rolling form parts
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Ability to roll or bumpform high strength aerospace steel and aluminum panels into cylinder and conic sections with tight tolerances
- Ability to form high strength alloys.
- 5 years forming experience (any industry)
- Ability to read and interpret sheet metal drawings and work instructions
- Experience with thick stock (up to 1 and machined panel forming
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends to support critical mission milestones
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted
- Prolonged periods of standing pushing/pulling lifting and operating press
Pay Range:
- CNC Press Brake and Roller Operator I: $21.00 $30.00
- CNC Press Brake and Roller Operator II: $28.00 $38.00
- CNC Press Brake and Roller Operator III: $33.00 $45.00
