Job Description
SUMMARY:
Perform total maintenance and repair for food manufacturing facility.
Work Schedule: 1st Shift MondayFriday 8am4:30pm
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Monitor maintain and repair all boilers pumps compressors filters tanks and equipment found in the machine rooms.
- Maintain and repair all electrical pneumatic hydraulic mechanical systems and associated components.
- Maintain and repair all pasteurizing equipment.
- Maintain and repair all automated conveyors case handling filling and packaging equipment.
- Maintain and repair blow molding equipment.
- Maintain and repair all high and lowpressure plumbing piping and vacuum systems.
- Fabricate and build necessary components as required.
- Troubleshoot to the component level any problems of the abovementioned equipment read electrical schematics and blueprints.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a mechanic and troubleshooter desired.
- Five years of jobrelated experience in food or related industry desired.
- Able to pass welding and cutting test including Heli arc.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and understand instructions.
- Ability to work with automated equipment.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to regulatory procedures.
- Frequently work in confined spaces
- Ability to work required hours including weekend and night shift.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work from heights up to 35 feet.
- Frequent use of ladders and scaffolds.
- Frequent carrying bending walking handling reaching and stretching.
- Continuously work on concrete surface 8 to10 hours per day.
Environmental Factors:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee will work in a refrigerated warehouse with a temperature to 34 F. The noise level in the work environment is usually noisy.

- Oxyacetylene torch and welding.
- Electric welding equipment.
- Miscellaneous hand and power tools.
- Electrical volt/ohm and amp meters.
- Selfpropelled aerial work platforms and forklifts.
- Tachometers and temperature probe.
- Refrigerant recovery equipment.
