DescriptionThe Technician conducts complex destructive and nondestructive testing in accordance with written procedures such as Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) or Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs). This position also requires the ability to interpret dimensional drawings and perform test setups.
- Responsible for design verification and acceptance testing of pyrotechnic and electronic products.
- Must be familiar with test equipment (i.e.: oscilloscopes multimeters environmental chambers).
- Reviews systemlevel Acceptance Test Procedures for electrical devices.
- Troubleshooting calibration and adjustments to test equipment components and systems.
- Correct malfunctions by adjusting or replacing parts or components
- Use small hand and power tools along with various measuring and testing devices.
- Perform appropriate duties associated with specialized IT projectbased activities.
- Participate in process improvement meetings and team 5S activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1 year of testing and/or mechanical inspection.
- Knowledge in the use of basic electronic test equipment (volt meters current meters Oscopes).
- Basic mechanical measuring tools (micrometers calipers etc. and hand tools.
- Familiarity with MS office products.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- AS in related field and/or military experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Test lab conditions (wearing PPE where required)
- Standing 810 hours per day
- Capable of lifting 40 pounds.
