The Senior Event Security Manager will lead and execute event security operations for a diverse range of events including NBA and WNBA games concerts family shows and smallscale events. This role is instrumental in ensuring the safety and security of all guests staff performers and players while maintaining exceptional service standards.
The ideal candidate will manage and develop full and parttime security team members coordinate with internal departments external law enforcement and building partners and oversee the implementation of all security protocols and procedures.
What Will You Do:
Lead all aspects of event security operations for NBA/WNBA games concerts family shows and private events including deployment response and communications ensuring staff coverage is appropriate for each event profile.
Develop and execute eventspecific security plans in coordination with event management team operations tour security and public safety agencies.
Serve as the senior point of contact for event securityrelated incidents and emergencies.
- Build and maintain a highperforming team with a strong emphasis on safety professionalism and guest experience.
- Recruit manage and supervise full and parttime event security staff
- Ensure compliance with NBA WNBA and industrywide security standards protocols and lead scenariobased training sessions to prepare for various emergency situations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to design and implement ongoing training programs for parttime staff covering emergency response crowd management deescalation access control and arena policies.
- Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team performance and readiness.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional departments including Operations Guest Services and Event Management.
- Assist in the development and review of arenawide emergency action plans and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare postevent reports detailing security performance incidents and areas of improvement.
What We Need from this position:
- Bachelors degree in criminal justice Security Management Emergency Management or related field or relevant experience.
- 5 years of progressive management experience within sports entertainment or public venues.
- Understanding of NBA/WNBA security standards and operational intricacies.
- Experience managing largescale security teams training programs and eventspecific deployments and operations.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing fulltime and parttime event security operations and teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with high emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
- Ability and desire to obtain security certifications (CPP NCS4 FEMA/NIMS ICS First Aid/CPR Crowd Manager).
