Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and advanced imaging technologies. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist II ensures patient safety prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and collaborates with medical professionals to deliver highquality patient care. This role also involves maintaining equipment adhering to regulatory standards and participating in continuous education to stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine.

Schedule: Mon Fri no weekends / no call Day shift

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology required
  • Bachelors Degree graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology program with Nuclear Medicine registry preferred
  • 13 years Experience as Registered Technologist required
  • 35 years Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in an acute care setting preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required and
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist as required by state required
  • BCLS Basic Life Support required
  • NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Tech certification preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine techniques methods and equipment
  • Knowledge of radiation safety principles and procedures
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine & PETCT quality control and quality assurance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
