Klamath County located in beautiful southern Oregon is seeking a detailoriented and servicedriven individual to join the Sheriffs Office as a Civil Clerk. With over 300 days of sunshine each year Klamath Falls offers a unique blend of outdoor adventure artistic culture and smalltown charm.
As a Civil Clerk you will serve as the first point of contact for citizens at the Sheriffs Office Civil Division. You will manage nonemergency incoming calls provide frontcounter assistance and perform a wide range of clerical tasks in support of civil process operations.
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years general office experience 50 WPM typing speed preferred)
Experience with multiline phones; knowledge of criminal justice or civil process is a plus
Valid Drivers License
Ability to become LEDScertified and obtain Notary Public status
Strong written and verbal communication
Basic math and computer proficiency (internet and word processing)
Detailoriented with sound reasoning and organizational skills
Frequent sitting reaching and speaking
Occasional standing walking and lifting up to 10 lbs.

Klamath County is hiring a Corrections Clerk to support the daily operations of the Corrections Division. This key role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured tasks thrives in dynamic environments and wants to be part of a team dedicated to safety and public service.
The Corrections Clerk is responsible for assisting visitors to the jail maintaining records handling clerical duties and supporting corrections staff and inmates with administrative processes.
Greet and direct visitors; manage phone calls and correspondence
Maintain records and logs; assist with public records requests
Operate the Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS)
Process inmate commissary orders and billing
Notarize legal documents for staff and inmates
Assist with inmate intake including fingerprinting and data entry
Complete monthly warrant validation and record expungement tasks
May assist with accepting bail money issuing receipts recording funds booking intake master control operations and limited inmate searches per union contract.
High school diploma or GED
2 years clerical experience preferred
LEDS certification and notary (or ability to obtain)
Familiarity with jail procedures a plus
Fastpaced and often loud correctional setting
Regular interactions with inmates and the public
40 hours per week; schedule set by management
Reliable attendance is critical; unexcused absences may result in disciplinary action
