Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiac conditions including health history vital signs and medication reconciliation.
- Assist cardiologists in performing diagnostic procedures such as stress tests echocardiograms and Holter monitoring.
- Educate patients about their cardiac condition treatment options medications and lifestyle modifications.
- Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments referrals and diagnostic tests as needed.
- Administer medications perform wound care and assist with minor procedures under the supervision of a physician.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license in Iowa
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Cardiac Nursing (e.g. AACN or ANCC) highly desirable.
- BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification required.
- Excellent communication organizational and patient care skills.
