An opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer to join the Asset Management Team within Property Services.

Asset Management work to make best use of the Councils property assets providing strategic direction on how these are utilised in order to meet the Councils objectives and priorities and the needs of the community. Asset Management are involved across the entire breadth of the Councils operations from corporate change programmes and office accommodation through to supporting frontline service delivery.

You will work within the Asset Management team to support the delivery of building improvement projects acting as the daytoday contact for them. You will assist the team in the development of layout plans and other associated project information including furniture and IT equipment.

You will work with Asset Strategists and with the Lead Officer to ensure all issues related to the projects are recorded and monitored. You will liaise with supporting Services including BTS and FM to ensure that all operational requirements are met.

Key areas of involvement will include space management analysis of property utilisation determination of Service needs negotiation with Council Services regarding the occupation and use of buildings logistics and planning relating to buildings and move management. You will contribute to the development of business cases briefing documents reports and committee papers.

The Person

You must be educated to SCQF level 7 which includes HNC or equivalent in an appropriate subject.

You will be committed and selfmotivated with a proactive cando attitude and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will be able to liaise with staff at different levels and have expertise in project management. You must be a confident user of IT applications with the ability to perform calculations and analyse data within Excel as well as the ability to produce reports and briefings to a high standard in Word.

Working as part of a team you must have the ability to analyse problems and produce creative and practical solutions. You will build relationships with colleagues across the Council as well as public sector partners and be able to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders.

As a progressive employer we offer the opportunity to work in this role as a blended working arrangement with homeworking opportunities and officeworking as required. While a significant part of the role can and will be carried out remotely candidates will be required to travel to and attend buildings throughout Fife as required.
