Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide skilled therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement treatment plans including therapeutic exercises gait training and assistive device training.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on techniques to improve functional skills and independence.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress treatment plans and interventions.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control guidelines to protect both patients and healthcare workers.
Requirements:
- Certification: Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Florida.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience hospital skilled nursing facility or rehab facility is required.
- Skills: Excellent communication interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Professionalism: Strong work ethic reliability and a commitment to providing quality care.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to visit patients in their homes.
