Brandeis University seeks a parttime development and communications assistant to work with the Womens Studies Research Center.
The Dev/Comm Assistant will play an important role at the Womens Studies Research Center (WSRC). Reporting directly to the Assistant Director the Dev/Comm Assistant will help with various communications and fundraising tasks including content creation social media management donor rela1ons and communications prospect research event planning and support. Specific duties include content creation in a wide variety of forms and the weekly management of the WSRCs social media channels including Facebook and Instagram.
Job Responsibilities:
Social Media: Write and post WSRC and Kniznick Gallery content to Facebook and Instagram. Create and use of graphic templates (Canva) photography and video to increase awareness and engagement. Engage with current and potential collaborators. Drive audience engagement. 30
Fundraising: Conduct prospect research and provide administrative support related to the WSRCs upcoming 25th anniversary campaign. Assist with the organization of fundraising events as required. 30
Content Development: Identify and create content development opportunities to strengthen and elevate communication with all stakeholders and increase the visibility and audience of the WSRC. Help to promote the WSRC and fundraise for the organization through external messaging. Create and distribute press releases for WSRC events and art gallery exhibitions. 20
Event Coordination: Support the communication plans for WSRC and Kniznick Gallery events and document events. 20
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree
Proficiency using social media platforms such as Facebook Instagram and TikTok. Familiarity with Canva
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding about how to use social media to push out WSRCs messaging Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Limited evening work related to event support required.
