Job Description

We are a 17bed acute care hospital and 11bed acute Rehabilitation Unit. Here you have an opportunity to expand your skills work closely with the physicians respiratory therapy and nursing. Summary:An Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for providing patients with therapeutic treatments to regain physical and cognitive functioning around everyday tasks related to daily living.
Occupational Therapist (OT) Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assesses the patients physical communication and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan.
- Assesses the home school and work environments of the patient.
- Advising on adaptive equipment or techniques to help patients with daily activities.
- Educate on compensatory strategies for memory communication and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Helps patients to take part in everyday activities based on their unique circumstances.
- Reviews the patients progress and updates the plan of care and goals.
- Performs administrative tasks such as documentation participates in the interdisciplinary care conference recommends equipment and continuing services and patient/family education.
Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Missouri
- BLS certification Required upon Hire
- Minimum 1 year hospital experience critical care/acute care preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Team detail and goal oriented
- Positive professional and empathetic demeanor
- Ability to work flexible schedule.
