Job Description

SwimRVA is looking for a detailoriented Finance Coordinator to join our team to support general bookkeeping operations. This position is a parttime nonexempt position with flexible hours. If you are someone that loves numbers and spreadsheets we are looking for you. The Finance Coordinator to maintain accurate financial documentation monitor key revenue metrics and support accounting activities that help us drive smarter business decisions. Youll play a key role in streamlining our financial operations while providing insight to help improve our budgeting performance.

Under the direction of the Executive Director the Finance Coordinator will help achieve the following results:

  • Ensure SwimRVA financial accounting key reports and tools are up to date for the Executive Director to make decisions
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards and proper delegation of duties to protect the financial health of the organization
  • Support the Executive Director and finance team in document preparation for the annual audit and timely tax return.

The Finance Coordinator job duties:

  • Weekly deposits BillPay bank reconciliation record keeping and QuickBooks management
    • Manage the weekly deposit and disbursement processes for bill payments
    • Maintain an accurate accounting by GL account and classification in quickbooks
    • Ensure efficient and compliant delegation of duties for financial security of the organization
    • Maintain the organization of records in collaboration with SwimRVA staff to allow for quick access and research of bills and payable documents
    • Oversee the monthend bank reconciliation and interface with other departments to ensure full and accurate reconciliation
  • Support the Executive Director with annual audit research and reporting in the first quarter of the fiscal year (August 1
    • Support third party auditors with document preparation and research as requested
    • Work with Executive Director to complete all research projects in collaboration with SwimRVA development
  • Manage SwimRVAs sitebased accounting Cash flow and budget management tools for accurate and timely decision making by the Executive Director
    • Maintain cash flow management and forecast tool with month end revenue and expense data entry for the organization and Executive Director
    • Enter approved budget into quickbooks and create monthly reports of budget v. actuals for the Executive Director
    • Support the payroll process and complexity growth with the Associate Director of Business Administration

Qualifications:

  • Accounting background and experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity and strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and online bill pay systems
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel data analysis and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Salary/ Benefits:

  • Parttime nonexempt position
  • Hourly rate to be negotiated
