Job Description
**This role is based in Austin TX and will require coming into the office 12 times a week as well as an in person interview.

Our team creates products are built on a mature cloudnative eventdriven microservices architecture hosted in AWS.
SailPoint is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to help build a new cloudbased SaaS identity analytics product. We are looking for wellrounded backend or full stack engineers who are passionate about building and delivering reliable scalable microservices and infrastructure for SaaS products.
As one of the first members on the team you will be integral in building this product and will be part of an agile team that is in startup mode. This is a unique opportunity to build something from scratch but have the backing of an organization that has the muscle to take it to market quickly with a very satisfied customer base.
Responsibilities
- Deliver efficient maintainable data pipelines
- Deliver robust bug free code Java based micro services
- Build and maintain Data Analytics and Machine Learning features
- Produce designs and rough estimates and implement features based on product requirements.
- Collaborate with peers on designs code reviews and testing.
- Produce unit and endtoend tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for new and existing features.
- Responsible for oncall production support
Requirements
- 4 years of professional software development experience
- Strong Python SQL Java experience
- Great communication skills
- BS in Computer Science or a related field
- Comprehensive experience with objectoriented analysis and design skills
- Experience with Workflow engines
- Experience with Continuous Delivery Source control
Preferred
- Strong Experience in AirFlow
- Experience with ML Pipelines (SageMaker)
- Experience with Continuous Delivery
- Experience working on a Big Data/Machine Learning product
- Experience instrumenting code for gathering production performance metrics

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a rolespecific commission along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge skills experience market conditions and locations as well as reflect SailPoints differing products industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary for USbased employees will be in this range from (minmidmax USD):
$109200 $156000 $202800Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employees home location.
