Job Description
The Movement Imaging & Rehabilitation Laboratory in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science is seeking a Clinical Trial & Data Management Research Associate. Flexible work arrangements within the state of Iowa may be arranged with approval from IRRC.
Duties to include:
Schedule visits and collect patient reported outcomes and function via telehealth for clinical research - Collect clinical data (e.g. pain imaging function blood samples) in a laboratory setting
- Communicate with participants over the phone email telehealth and inperson
- Screen recruit enroll and obtain informed consent for clinical research participants
- Track study participant data and study procedures
- Manage databases including Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) to generate queries reports exports and other data as needed
- Assist with IRB applications and modifications
- Work in a team environment and maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff and learners.
Percent of Time: 50
Staff Type: Professional & Scientific
Type of Position: 1 Year Specified Term. May be eligible for renewal.
Pay Grade: 4A
Required Qualifications:
An advanced degree beyond a B.S. or B.A. such as DPT or PhD in rehabilitation or a related field - Six months to one year of experience working in research and/or in a clinical field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with positive interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates high attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with human subject research that includes Institutional Review Board Recruitment and PatientReported Outcomes - Experience with qualitative analysis and/or quantitative statistical analysis
Hybrid within Iowa:This position is eligible for a combination of oncampus and remote work within Iowa. Work arrangement options will be discussed during the hiring process.Per policy work arrangements will be reviewed annually and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
