Job Description
- Integrate technology and best practices to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Modify general education curriculum and activities to ensure accessibility and success for all students.
- Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians fostering a strong schoolhome partnership.
- Deliver differentiated instruction focused on early literacy numeracy socialemotional development and life skills.
- Utilize datadriven instructional strategies conduct ongoing progress monitoring and adjust interventions as needed.
- Develop implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers therapists support staff and families to create an inclusive and nurturing environment.
Requirements
- Excellent communication problemsolving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work fulltime 37.5 hours per week) throughout the school year.
- Bachelor s degree in Special Education required; Master s degree preferred.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (or eligibility to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development differentiation strategies and collaborative practices.
- Prior experience working with early childhood or elementaryaged students with disabilities is highly preferred.
