Strategic Category Lead Facility Services
Huntsman is seeking a Strategic Category Lead supporting the Facility Services Division located in The Woodlands Texas. This position will report to the Sourcing Manager.
Job Scope
Huntsman is searching for a new Strategic Category Lead Facility Services who will support the category of Facility Services following established procurement policies and procedures to optimize overall value for Huntsman. This includes sub categories of Lab Equipment Lab Consumables General Maintenance Security HVAC and Building services.
In summary as the Strategic Category Lead Facility Services you will:
- CATEGORY MANAGEMENT Support the Indirect Procurement team as needed to implement their Category Strategies through the 7steps of the Strategic Sourcing Methodology adopted by Huntsman.
- STRATEGIC SOURCING Lead the sourcing initiatives for the category of Facility Services and other assigned categories by supporting the business needs and support in the automation of the current process.
- STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across the Americas region to ensure business alignment with the category sourcing strategy established for Facility Services and other assigned categories ensure continuous improvement of supplier performance.
- NEGOTIATION Negotiate contracts in line with internal procedures terms and conditions expected service levels quality requirements and financial conditions.
- CONTRACT MANAGEMENT Create supply agreements in line with legal guidelines. Ensure supplier contracts are approved stored and maintained according to internal procedures.
- SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT Under the supervision of the Indirect Procurement Manager assist in the implementation of the Supplier Relationship Management program for the Facility Services and other assigned Categories to develop and grow relationships between new and existing key suppliers and key business stakeholders to ensure long term value for Huntsman.
- COMPLIANCE Understand and adhere to the organizations policies and procedures and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct. Ensure that the Facility Services and other assigned categories are supplied on time from approved sources and in compliance with all relevant regulations and internal requirements.
- PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT Continuously develop skills and capabilities by participating in formal and informal training seeking out coaching and mentoring support and by developing industry understanding of technology best practices and regulation.
- ORGANIZATIONAL INTEGRATION Support integration and collaborative savings delivery from a Purchasing perspective related to Huntsman Merger & Acquisition activities
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in supply chain Finance Business or another related field.
- 5 years minimum related experience in related roles
- General understanding of strategic sourcing methodologies (i.e. 7steps or similar) strongly preferred but not required.
Skills and knowledge
- Working knowledge conducting spend analysis of complex spend data to provide meaningful data trends and insights to support the development of sourcing initiatives for the Facility Services and other assigned categories.
- Clear understanding and experience with the following: Variety of vendors including Lab Equipment Lab Consumables General Maintenance Security HVAC Building services and others. Engagement with internal stakeholders including HR Legal site teams and business leaders.
- Experience in petrochemical or heavy industrial settings is preferred but not required.
- Direct people management not required but proven ability to work in teams required.
- Fluency in English required working knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese are a plus
- Knowledge of multitask computer operation in a Windows environment particularly Windowsbased PC systems emphasizing Excel (i.e. pivot tables lookups graphs) and related analytical tools (i.e. PowerBI) and PowerPoint proficiency.
- General understanding and use key financial indicators (TCO EBITDA ROI payment terms saving measures markup setting etc. to help make better business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of SAP and Ariba strongly preferred.
- C.P.M. CPSM CPSD CPCM CCCM CSCP CPIM CLTD or other related certifications a plus
